📚 FREE PARENT EVENT: Helping your Child Learn at Home 🏡 How can you support your child’s learning at home without stress or overwhelm? Join CSPD’s Learning Outcomes team for a practical parent session exploring simple, realistic ways families can support learning from primary through to secondary school. Last week, our Year 6 Gold Debating Team competed in their first ever debate. The team debated the topic, “Climate change is humanity’s greatest threat,” against St John XXIII Catholic College. While they narrowly missed out on the win, they worked hard to prepare and deliver thoughtful speeches, as well as collaborate and support each other. Thank you to our students who assisted as chairperson, timekeeper and visitor hosts. We are incredibly proud of the effort, courage and teamwork shown by all students. We look forward to our Blue team's debate in Week 7.

Last week at assembly, we congratulated the students who represented OLOR at the Diocesan Cross Country Carnival at Sydney Motorsport Park. Well done especially to our 8/9 Year Old Boys, where OLOR came first overall in the age group.

Happy Mothers Day! On Thursday, our school community gathered together to give thanks to God for the gift of mothers in our lives, and for the many women who love and care for us. Following our Celebration of the Word, we welcomed our mums into our classrooms. Thank you to all the parents, grandparents and friends who joined us, and we hope that all the mums in the OLOR community are having a wonderful day today.
