Last Friday, we gathered together as a school community to celebrate Mass for the Commencement of the School Year. We also welcomed and asked for God's blessing on our new students and staff, and commissioned our 2026 student leaders. Thank you to Fr Chris, all the staff and students who helped prepare and lead our celebration, and the many parents and friends who celebrated with us.

And just like that, day one is done for 2026! The children did such an amazing job of remembering how we are respectful learners at OLOR. Still, there were new teachers to get to know, new bag racks to claim a hook on, routines to settle into, and lots of learning to start.

The new school year is upon us, and OLOR staff returned today for the first of our professional learning days. We began the day by continuing the tradition of gathering as the combined school staff of Kellyville Parish - OLOR and St Angela's - to celebrate the Eucharist. We gave thanks for the gift of serving in the vocation of education within this community, and asked for God's blessing for the year ahead.
