Thank you to everyone who put their faith into action and donated to our annual Christmas Appeal. Thanks to your generosity, our dedicated Faith in Action Team (FIAT) were able to pack dozens of boxes and bags to support people in need. The boxes were collected on Monday by Vinnies, and we look forward to welcoming Sue from David's Place, who will take the bags of food to ensure the David's Place community enjoy a special Christmas lunch. Our Christmas Appeal is one of the many ways that we try to live in way of Jesus through our Founding Values of dignity, compassion, hospitality, service, stewardship and justice. Thank you also to Miss Takchi and Mrs Rodrigues for your support of FIAT throughout 2025.

We did it again! Our amazing Gardening Club has again won the Sydney Hills Gardening Competition, in the category of school gardens maintained by primary students. It is a fitting recognition of all the hard work our Gardening Club put in every week. Congratulations and thank you to Mrs Harvey and the Gardening Club on this achievement and for your contribution to Respecting Our Environment and our Founding Value of Stewardship.

Our Gymnastics team had a fantastic day last Friday at the Diocesan gala day. Competing in the 20's category (teams of more than 10), we came third, taking away 3 gold medals (congratulations Molly, Natalia and Yorklyn), 11 silver and 3 bronze. They spent the whole day cheering each other, and other schools on as they showcased their skills. You could hear them clapping from the grandstands every time!! They showed fantastic sporting attitude and positively represented the school. Congratulations to our whole team, and thank you to everyone who supported our gymnasts.

Recently, Year 5 welcomed Roydon from the St Vincent de Paul Society, who shared with them how Vinnies NSW works to help people in need. Our OLOR Faith in Action initiative this term - our annual Christmas Appeal - will support Vinnies and David's Place. We sincerely thank Roydon for his time and for helping us learn more about the work of Vinnies. We have shared more information about our Christmas Appeal with parents and carers via Compass.

During October, as a school named in honour of Mary, Our Lady of the Rosary, our community started each day by praying a decade of the Rosary. Thank you to the members of our Faith in Action Team (FIAT) who took turns to lead us in prayer each day.
